Highs today run 4-6° above average under mostly sunny skies. Temperatures this afternoon range from the mid 60s in Santa Cruz & Cochise Counties to the low 70s in Metro Tucson. Expect westerly winds today around 5-10 MPH.
Tuesday features abundant sunshine and a run at the 70° mark. A cold front clips the northern portion of the state Wednesday, supplying partly cloud skies and temperatures in the low to mid 60s.
Late in the week, high pressure settles in from the Pacific. The net result for the Sonoran Desert is another warming trend. Highs Friday through the weekend peak in the low 70s. Overnight lows the next several nights bottom out in the 40s.
