FORECAST DISCUSSION

The only significant weather change this week arrives in 24 hours.

Tracking toward the state is a weak cold front. Cloud cover increases this afternoon with highs peaking in the low 70s. Overnight lows drop to the mid to upper 40s metro-wide, as partly cloudy skies keeps temps mild for early December standards.

The cold front exits the Four Corners tomorrow afternoon. Behind the front, expect a 5° drop in temperatures. Metro Tucson reaches the low to mid 60s tomorrow. Temperatures by daybreak Thursday bottom out in the upper 30s to low 40s.

High pressure builds in from the west heading into the weekend, driving a winter warming trend. Daytime temperatures approach the low to mid 70s Friday through early next week.
