Tonight – Mostly clear. 44°, southeast wind 5-10 MPH.
Tomorrow – Mostly sunny. 73°, north wind 5 MPH.
A Winter warming trend is underway.
Highs peak in the upper 60s today. Southern Arizona should see more sunshine than yesterday as temps run 2-4° above average. Nighttime lows bottom out in the mid 40s for Metro Tucson, while freezing temps are likely in eastern Cochise County.
As high pressure approaches from the west, temperatures climb into the 70s starting tomorrow. Models indicate a jet stream propped well north of the state for the foreseeable future, keeping any weather of significance well away from the Sonoran Desert. Highs early next week may run up to 10° above average for mid-December standards.
