Monday’s Tucson Forecast: Unsettled heading toward the holiday

Today – Partly cloudy. 67°, east wind 10-15 MPH.

Tonight – Partly cloudy. 44°, southeast wind 5-10 MPH.

Tomorrow – Partly cloudy. 74°, northeast wind 5-15 MPH.

A slow moving weather pattern evolves in time for Christmas week.

Dominating the forecast this week is a cutoff low near Baja California. Expect a mix of sun & clouds the next few days. Highs range from the upper 60s this afternoon to the mid 70s Tuesday.

Some moisture trickles in mid to late week, fueling a daily shower chance. There is a great deal of uncertainty regarding how much moisture moves into the state. As it stands, rain chances reside at 20% Wednesday through Friday, increasing to 30% on Christmas Eve. A few isolated showers can’t be ruled out Christmas Day.

Temperatures from the low 70s Wednesday to the mid 60s by Christmas Day. Overnight lows the next several nights bottom out in the 40s and 50s.
