Today – Mostly sunny. 68°, northwest wind 5 MPH.

Tonight – Mostly clear. 46°, southeast wind 5 MPH.

Tomorrow – Mostly sunny. 68°, west-northwest wind 5-10 MPH.

After a cloudy start to the new year, sunshine starts to break out across the Sonoran Desert.

Mostly sunny skies are expected the next few days. Highs peak in the mid to upper 60s, followed by nighttime lows in the mid to upper 40s. These forecast temperatures are above average for early January.

Cloud cover increases Friday as a cold front clips the eastern portion of the state. Valley floors stay dry, but a few morning snow showers may develop in the White Mountains of Graham & Greenlee Counties. A dusting to inch of new snow is possible in these spots.

Thereafter, high pressure settles in from the Pacific. Weekend temperatures range from the low 70s Saturday to upper 70s Sunday and Monday. Temps remain in the 70s for the first part of next week, as the storm track remains well north of Arizona.
