The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning late tonight, including Metro Tucson, southern Pinal County & the Tohono O’odham Nation. This is in effect from midnight until 9 AM Wednesday.

A departing cold front filters in a cool air mass. Under mostly sunny skies, highs reach the low to mid 50s, running 11-13° below average. This sets the stage for Tucson’s first overnight freeze since December 18th. Lows range from the teens atop Mount Lemmon to the upper 20s/low 30s in the Old Pueblo.

Wednesday features highs once again in the 50s, followed by a widespread freeze waking up Thursday morning. Models hint at a warming trend by the weekend and early next week. High temps may approach the 70° mark as soon as Monday.
