FORECAST DISCUSSION

A very typical Spring forecast for the Sonoran Desert.

Gusty winds develop ahead of an approaching storm system. Expect westerly gusts up to 20 MPH this afternoon, increasing to 15-25 MPH Tuesday. Highs range from the low 80s today to the low 70s Tuesday afternoon under mostly sunny skies.

There is a slight chance of showers in the White Mountains tomorrow. The rest of Southern Arizona stays dry.

A second storm system swings by later in the week. Breezes crank back up Thursday and Friday, followed by temperatures cooling off for the weekend. Highs Saturday and Sunday peak in the low to mid 70s, which is roughly 10° cooler than Thursday’s forecast highs.
