Marching toward Arizona is a cold front. West-southwest winds peak in the 15-25 MPH range this afternoon & evening. High temps reach the mid 80s in Metro Tucson, standing as the warmest temperatures in the forecast for the next week.

Gusty west winds up to 30 MPH are expected tomorrow. High temperatures to wrap the work week drop 10-15° as the front enters the state.

Models are trending drier for the first half of the weekend. With the cold front in New Mexico, there is a slight chance of showers in the mountains Saturday. Valley floors should stay dry under partly cloudy skies. Breezes up to 20 MPH may linger Saturday afternoon, but weaken by Sunday.

A new storm system looks to pass through Northern Arizona early next week, bringing another round of gusty winds Monday afternoon.
