TODAY’S BEAMISH BLOGCAST

FORECAST DISCUSSION

How long will the 90s stick around this time?

High pressure slides across the state to wrap the week. As a result, daytime highs run roughly 10° above average for early April. Metro Tucson reaches the low 90s this afternoon through Saturday under ample sunshine.

Gusty winds return to the forecast the first half of the weekend, courtesy of a cold front entering the desert southwest. Winds Saturday could gust up to 25 MPH, potentially increasing the wildfire danger. Expect the breezes to drop off Saturday evening, with lighter winds prevailing Sunday.

Behind the cold front, daytime highs drop to the low 80s for the second half of the weekend. A gradual warming trend commences the middle of next week.
