TODAY’S BEAMISH BLOGCAST
THE CLIFF NOTES
Today – Mostly sunny. 92°, west-southwest wind 10-15 MPH.
Tonight – Mostly clear. 57°, southeast wind 5-10 MPH.
Tomorrow – Mostly sunny, breezy. 90°, west wind 15-25 MPH.
Our next cold front brings a few changes for the upcoming weekend.
Highs this afternoon reach in the low 90s. Winds across Southern Arizona today peak in the 10-15 MPH range out of the west-southwest. Lows overnight bottom out in the upper 50s.
Saturday features gusty 15-25 MPH west winds. Coupled with low relative humidity, the wildfire danger may reach critical levels south and east of Tucson. For that reason, a Fire Weather Watch is out Saturday from noon until 6 PM. Outdoor burning is not recommended across Eastern Santa Cruz, Cochise, Southeast Graham and Southern Greenlee Counties tomorrow.
Patchy blowing dust may also develop along I-10 near the Willcox Playa and San Simon tomorrow. Expect visibility to be limited at times.
The cold front exits the state Sunday, leaving behind lighter winds and cooler temperatures. Highs the second half of the weekend top out in the low 80s. Temperatures make a run at the 90s again the middle of next week.
