TODAY’S BEAMISH BLOGCAST
THE CLIFF NOTES
Today – Mostly sunny. 85°, west-northwest wind 10-15 MPH.
Tonight – Mostly clear. 58°, southeast wind 5 MPH.
Tomorrow – Mostly sunny, breezy. 91°, west wind 15-25 MPH.
A break from the breezes, for now.
West-northwest winds around 10-15 MPH are expected this afternoon. Lighter winds along with higher relative humidity values helps decrease the wildfire danger for the next 24 hours. Daytime highs reach the mid 80s in Tucson, on par with late April normals.
Gusty winds return to the forecast to wrap the work week. A cold front approaches the Four Corners, bringing back the breezes as soon as tomorrow. Strongest winds arrive Friday, as gusts of 30-40 MPH could develop across Southern Arizona. With the winds cranking back up, the wildfire danger likely reaches critical levels Friday afternoon.
20 MPH gusts could linger into Saturday as highs peak in the upper 70s.
Early next week looks to feature lighter winds and warmer temps. Highs in Tucson approach the 90° mark Monday and Tuesday.
