High pressure dominates the new work week. This afternoon features sunshine and highs in the low 90s for much of Metro Tucson. Overnight lows bottom out in the mid to upper 50s.

The heat is on later this week. Latest computer model guidance suggests a 17% chance of triple digit heat Thursday, followed by a 73% chance on Friday. If Tucson reaches 100° either Thursday or Friday, it would mark an early occurrence of the first triple digit day. The average date for Tucson’s 1st 100° day is May 26th.
