We now return you to your regularly scheduled Spring weather.

High pressure builds in from the west to wrap the week. Daytime highs range from the mid 80s this afternoon to the mid 90s Friday and Saturday. Sunshine prevails across the Sonoran Desert.

Models continue to hint at a storm system passing north of the state for Mother’s Day weekend. As a result, gusty winds kick up starting Saturday. Mother’s Day looks breezy, but warm. Highs Sunday peak in the low 90s, dropping to the upper 80s for the upcoming work week.

PHOTO OF THE DAY

Storm chaser Bryan Snider was rolling on a rain shower near Picacho Peak on Tuesday. Bryan notes how photogenic these showers were, despite the fact he didn’t capture any lightning. Regardless, his time-lapse has the look and feel of the Monsoon.
