TODAY’S BEAMISH BLOGCAST

FORECAST DISCUSSION

Warmth to wrap the work week.

High pressure drives temperatures into the mid 90s the next few days. Daytime highs run roughly 5-7° above average for mid May standards. Expect plenty of sunshine across Southern Arizona.

Mother’s Day weekend looks blustery. A storm system passes through Northern Arizona, cranking winds into the 15-25 MPH range Saturday. Mother’s Day & Monday could feature 30 MPH gusts out of the southwest. Highs Sunday peak in the low 90s, dropping to the mid 80s Monday.

The 80s could stick around for much of next week as a second storm system settles in. For perspective, Tucson’s average high in mid May is around 90-91°.

Night moves, captured earlier this week by Greg McCown near Fox Tucson Theatre. Anyone else have that Bob Seger song going through their head when seeing this?
