Highs in the Old Pueblo today reach the 105° mark, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. This would be the hottest day of 2017 thus far. Excessive Heat Warnings are out this afternoon for Metro Tucson and points west. Any outdoor activity should be completed by 10 AM.
While Excessive Heat Warnings are in effect tomorrow, temperatures could actually drop a bit. Increasing moisture leads to a slight storm chance for Metro Tucson Wednesday. Even if there is no rain, subsequent cloud cover likely keeps Tucson around 103-104°.
Thursday also features a slight storm chance for Tucson & areas east. Highs through the weekend should remain in the 100s.
Gusty winds kick up this weekend as a storm system passes north of the state. This feature may snap the triple digit streak by Monday, as Tucson peaks in the upper 90s.
