Thursday’s Tucson Forecast: No end in sight for the heat streak

The streak of 105°+ highs rolls into the holiday weekend.

Today’s highs across the Old Pueblo peak in the 105-107° range. The steady diet of daytime temps in the 100s continues through the 4th of July weekend. Lots of sunshine is expected in Tucson, thanks to high pressure parked west of the state.

Some Monsoon moisture returns to the International Border Sunday and Monday, leading to slight storm chances in this area. The rest of the Sonoran Desert looks dry over the next 7 days.

Long range models remain consistent in showing a more favorable storm pattern possibly developing after the 4th of July. Monsoon moisture should start entering the state as soon as next Wednesday.
