Thursday’s Tucson Forecast: Dangerous temperatures threaten weather history

It’s June all over again.

High pressure remains parked near the Four Corners. While this is typically a favorable pattern for Monsoon storms, dry air is entering the state from the east. Only a few stray storms are possible today along the International Border & White Mountains.

Forecast highs range from 108° this afternoon to 110° on Friday. Metro Tucson and points west are under an Excessive Heat Warning between noon today and 7 PM Friday.

Limit your time outdoors the next several days. Complete any outdoor activities no later than 10 AM. Failure to do so may have dire health consequences.

Monsoon moisture increases across the state heading into the weekend and early next week. The Old Pueblo stands a slight storm chance tomorrow through next Wednesday. As moisture increases, temperatures lose their edge a bit. Highs next week should be in the 99-101° range.
