Tuesday’s Tucson Forecast: What to expect after a stormy night

After an active Monsoon night, will storms redevelop later today?

Typically the afternoon after overnight storms tends to be a little quieter. There is a 20% chance of late afternoon & evening storms in Metro Tucson. Overall, the atmosphere likely lacks enough energy to support another widespread storm event.

Highs peak today in the upper 90s, which is slated to snap our 27 day streak of days at or above 100°.

With a recharged atmosphere, scattered storms are possible tomorrow. Best storm chances over the next 7 days may arrive this weekend. Saturday and Sunday features a 40% chance of storms, courtesy of increased moisture moving in from the south.
