Various high-resolution models indicate 4-8 PM as the primetime for metro storms. The best chance of scattered storms will be east of the Old Pueblo, where a few could be severe.
Primary thunderstorm threats today include locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds over 40 MPH.
Ample moisture and a mid-level disturbance keeps in a 40% chance of scattered storms through Sunday. Daytime highs range from the 100s today to the mid 90s for the 2nd half of the weekend.
