High pressure parked over Northwestern Mexico continues to dry out the atmosphere. Thanks to dry air, temperatures return to triple digit territory in Metro Tucson. Today’s forecast high of 101° would be the 46th triple digit day of 2017.
Daytime highs peak in the 104-106° tomorrow through Thursday in the Old Pueblo. Outdoor activities should be completed no later than 10 AM during these days. Failure to do so could lead to dire health consequences.
Monsoon moisture slowly returns to the Sonoran Desert by late week. Rain chances range from 10% Thursday to 30% for the upcoming weekend. As moisture returns, temperatures drop. Highs Saturday and Sunday peak in the upper 90s.
