A tropical influence may lead to a few showers for the holiday weekend.
Tropical Storm Lidia is expected to track up the Baja peninsula over the next 36 hours. This puts Southern Arizona in play for a weak surge of Gulf moisture.
As a result, there is a 20% chance of showers on Saturday. The best chance of scattered showers & storms should be in Western Pima County & Santa Cruz County. Rainfall amounts from Lidia’s tropical moisture should be rather light & no flooding issues are expected.
Cloud cover likely keeps high temps below triple digit territory Saturday. A stray storm can’t be ruled out the remainder of the Labor Day weekend. The upcoming work week features a better chance of isolated storms on Tuesday.
