Wednesday’s Tucson Forecast: Waiting for the next storm chance

Hot, dry and breezy today, but scattered storms are set to return soon.

Highs reach triple digit territory for the 63rd time this year. Metro Tucson peaks in the 102-105° range this afternoon. There is a slight chance of isolated storms in Western Pima County, including the towns of Ajo and Lukeville.

Moisture begins to return to wrap the week, courtesy of high pressure parked over New Mexico. There is a slight storm chance for Tucson tomorrow, followed by a better chance of scattered storms Friday. Rain chances for the metro sit at 40% to wrap the work week.

Drier air wins the battle of the Monsoon this weekend into next week. While a stray storm can’t be ruled out Saturday, most places stay thunder free as highs trend back toward the 100s.
