Friday’s Tucson Forecast: Rain chances aren’t zero, but…

A glimmer of hope for a parched desert this weekend.

Highs this afternoon once again reach the upper 70s to low 80s. Partly cloudy skies today gives way to some clearing overnight. Lows for Metro Tucson bottom out in the low 50s.

Cloud cover increases again tomorrow, ahead of a weak storm system advancing toward the state from the Pacific. This feature may trigger an isolated shower or two starting late Saturday night, lingering into Sunday morning. Metro Tucson stands a 20% chance of showers during this timeframe, while areas north of the Old Pueblo remain favored for scattered shower development.

Highs this weekend peak in the upper 70s to low 80s.

More sunshine is on tap to start the upcoming work week. Long range models indicate the potential of a pattern change late next week. Exact details regarding rain & mountain snow are unclear this far out.
