Monday’s Tucson Forecast: Sonoran Wind Machine starts calming down

Lighter winds in the forecast for much of the week ahead.

Breezes remain around 15-25 MPH this afternoon out of the southwest. After sunset, winds dial down to the 5-10 MPH range. Highs this afternoon peak in the low 90s, which is typical for mid May standards.

Winds peak around 10-15 MPH tomorrow and Wednesday as highs reach the mid to upper 90s.

A weak storm system scurries across the state Thursday, bringing back gusty winds up to 20 MPH. The upcoming weekend features light winds, ample sunshine and seasonable temperatures. Daytime temperatures hit the low 90s, followed by nighttime lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.
